Transition

  Whitehall has many staff members that are extremely knowledgeable as to how the township functions on a daily basis.  I can attest to this personally because my business has taken me to many other municipalities in the Lehigh Valley.   As many of these workers approach retirement, I believe it is crucial to the future of our community to hire personnel who will have the same work ethic and knowledge we have been accustomed to.   Preparation is needed for this transition of our key personnel and leadership.  I believe one of the greatest assets are the people who work with you. 

One of the biggest producers of revenue for Whitehall is our retail community.  As we know the Whitehall Mall will be transitioning to new retail space.  It is important to work with them in zoning and regulations to permit them to be successful at the same time provide additional green space so that the retail location does not look like a giant black top park.

The Lehigh Valley Dairy has been an eye sore for quite some time in our community.  We need to work with the owner to have this site redeveloped into a tax producing entity.

Beautification of Macarthur Road.  There are ways through regulation that we can require property owners to maintain and upgrade their properties with new zoning regulations and provide green space.  I think we need to look at this possibility.
